Summary: Safety culture and safety climate have been popular topics among both safety practitioners and industrial organizational (I-O) psychologists for more than 20 years. The underlying factors of safety culture and safety climate are not fully understood and are currently being studied in several current research articles. Moreover, the impact of external forces, such as the economy, has not been studied.
