Summary: This paper has presented an innovative approach to address the safety needs of Hispanic workers by developing a methodology that involves the development of technology enhanced safety training based on risk perception assessment. The expected outcome of the proposed methodology is an interactive training system; this portable technology can be used on the job site and will incorporate the issues related to the Hispanic workforce that may impact their understanding and perception of safety hazards in the many construction activities they perform. The paper is provided in English and Spanish.
